  Booked in for minor knee surgery. Told to arrive for surgery at 11.00am (told to fast from 7.00 am) Greeted by stony-faced receptionist who is obviously doesn't enjoy her job, waited hours in several waiting rooms with no updates from staff as to why the hold up. When I did ask why, (several times) I was almost brushed away. Still waiting at 3.30pm (still with no fluids or food - and a massive dehydration headache) still no apologies and no explanations and no attempt to rehydrate. Even after iAfter complaining, was promised twice that I would be contacted by management to investigate.

  Booked a private room two months in advance and paid for it. They stuck me in a shared room with some old patient with a serious snoring problem that was ripping the paint off the walls ... not happy. Had to wait for hours like a piece of meat until my number was up and was wheeled away and operated on. Woke up in a recovery room with about 10 others. Doctor had an attitude when checked up on. Then had to hang around all nite with the old guy. Then stuffed around in the morning until the doctor finally arrives and then she gives me the do's and dont's. I told her quickly that she is not my mother or my wife, so just advise me. Then on the way out had to go to the chemist or maybe you would guess your at the morge, well same personality anyway.

  This hospital appears to have a culture of mediocrity. ( with the exception of one staff member in the accounts department that was very friendly and very helpful)

  Great facility and staff. Only problem is the daytime parking.

  It doesn't take much time to make a phone call especially for patients who live a long distance away.

  Always check before arrival, there is a bed waiting for you even though you have confirmation.
